Happy 2020 to all of our SFD friends, family, and supporters.
2019 was a fabulous year for us at Seams For Dreams and I cannot emphasize enough how much we’ve grown in just the past year and how much awareness is spreading about the importance of responsible fashion. 2019 was a year of new beginnings for Seams For Dreams and in addition to getting a brand new office space that would accommodate all the lovely donations that we keep getting from all of our supporters, we also brought on a new team to help us as we scale our operations. So far we have received generous donations and we were able to give out almost 50,000 pieces of clothing to the people in need since inception. Our overall goal in 2020 is to continue spreading the love and doing good work through Seams For Dreams while we continue to grow our efforts across India. This year, with the help of our new and talented Advisory Board members, I really want to take our outreach a step further and scaling our initiatives.
Of course, projects that we look forward to scaling include our SFD Truck, which you will hear more about very soon, and the SFD Love Bundles, one of our awareness projects that spreads loads of love in just one little upcycled bundle. This project started in 2018 and it’s something that’s really taken off and given life to what we do at Seams For Dreams – promoting responsible fashion in addition to clothing people in need, one layer at a time. What’s great about this is that SFD Love Bundles have given our community the opportunity to be more involved in our efforts through various initiatives and to continue the spirit of giving back. As for 2020, we do plan to create more awareness projects so we can create an impact where needed. Seams For Dreams will also be looking out for new partner NGOs that share a similar ethos in 2020.
The 6th annual Christmas Garage Sale and Fundraiser this year was a hit and I personally want to thank our entire SFD team and my close friend and SFD Advisory Board member Claire Marrinan for helping me pull this off. I personally could not be there this year, but it was great to see that so many of you showed up to shop for a cause this holiday season! The turnout was better than expected and every year, the event gets bigger and better with the help from all of our generous supporters and well-wishers. We had so many donations come pouring in from friends and designers and from the pictures, it looked like everyone had a blast! You can find lots of photos in our Facebook Album here, do leave us some love and comments! Last but not least, I can’t thank our partners enough – DIPR, Magnanimous, Olive Bar & Kitchen, Ballantines, FAD International, and WIP Creatives.
Seams For Dreams would not be where we are today without all of your ongoing love and support, and for that, I’m forever grateful. I can’t wait for a splendid 2020! Happy New Year and always remember
Keep giving in style!
