The whole team of Seams For Dreams is beaming with pride as our founder, actor turned philanthropist Evelyn Sharma, held her first international speech at the National Prayer Breakfast, a yearly event held in the capital of USA since 1953, Washington D.C., hosted by members of the United States Congress and organized on their behalf by ‘The Fellowship Foundation’. Evelyn Sharma joined the high ranks of leadership from various countries and backgrounds giving inspirational speeches, such as US President Donald Trump, King Abdullah II of Jordan, Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe and more.
In front of over 3,500 guests, including representatives from over 120 countries, Evelyn Sharma urged for acceptance, unity and peace. The courage to tell her own story and speak up for the ones who are usually overlooked earned her a standing ovation. The news went viral around the world from the US to Germany to India.
“What an honour and humbling feeling to be standing in front of the world’s leaders of all kind in Washington DC to share my story of faith. Thank you so much for inviting me!” she took to her social media.
We are proud to watch our fashion philanthropist spread the love for others all over the world and to witness the appreciation she is receiving.
Urban Asian met with Evelyn in Washington D.C. and wrote a wonderful piece on her work with SFD. Read the article here.
