Late last month on the 29th of September, Seams For Dreams had its first distribution mission for their newest awareness initiative called “Love Bundles”. The 40 Love Bundles, which were only the first batch of hopefully many, were made from upcycled fabric by the in-house designers at SFD and featured eco-friendly products from beauty and hygiene brands. In addition to the self-care and personal hygiene products, the Love Bundles also came with a pair of shoes from Seams For Dreams’ NGO partner Greensoles, an organization dedicated to providing footwear to those in need by upcycling and restoring donated pairs of footwear! Finally, the Love Bundles also came equipped with anti-microbial and anti-odour panties from a brand called Inner Sense that so generously helped Seams For Dreams put a smile on the face of many.
The recipients of the Love Bundles are young women who have been rescued from a life of abuse by government shelters and through Seams For Dreams’ NGO partner Emancipation, these girls are provided mental health support and offered various forms of healing. Seams For Dreams looks forward to supporting more such missions and every month, the organization will continue to seek out additional sponsors for the individual Love Bundles.
