SFD’s founder Evelyn Sharma was recently asked to speak at a conference in Ahmedabad for o2h Innovation. o2h held this conference at the Hyatt and many speakers came from various industries to speak about innovation. This gathering was a first of its kind and included thought leaders from various industries.
o2h is an organization that is doing solid work across new industries such as life sciences and technology but this conference spoke about innovation as a whole and how it affects the way we live. Sharma’s work with Seams For Dreams was highlighted in a case study where she spoke with o2h’s Chief Creative Officer Prashant Shah about the work that the organization is undertaking and its impact. Furthermore, Sharma was part of a unique panel discussion dedicated to social impact and non-profits in India and what actually works. Sharma had the pleasure of being on a panel with Anjali Desai, a grassroots facilitator and writer, Renu Pokharna, a policy advocate and writer, and Ashish Agrawal and Laxmi Chhaya, two individuals who spearheaded Paryavaran Mitra, an organisation that works with the communities of rag-picking women.
It was truly an honour for Seams For Dreams’ founder Sharma to be part of an event that not only showcased Seams For Dreams’ work, but other individuals that are working towards the same goal in different ways. o2h really is a sound platform for innovation and the Seams For Dreams team is proud to be a part of their mission as the organisation strives to build a community a collaborators across the globe, and especially for India. While o2h didn’t only focus on non-profit work, the organisation put a big spotlight on social change and spoke with leaders across industries to find common ground and to discuss what can be done and what is being done within their respective fields. Conferences like this are necessary now more than ever, as businesses strive to be ethical and non-profits endeavor to make a day to day impact.
Seams For Dreams is proud to be a part of such efforts and looks forward to be able help more people across India through collaborations with innovators.
