Every year, supporters and well-wishers come with hearts in their eyes to the SFD Christmas Garage Sale in hopes to snag some designer and vintage clothing in the name of giving back to those in need. Each Garage Sale is never complete without the exclusive designer SFD t-shirts that are so intricately made with love and in the spirit of SFD’s mission. The first ever shirt was designed by Rocky S, and last year’s fourth version was designed by Gavin Miguel.
This year, the organization is proud to announce that Salita Nanda will be taking on the mission to give us all a lovely t-shirt to look forward to! Her designs are a perfect blend of heritage brought forth into modernism. For the t-shirts, Salita Nanda draws from a colorful palette and the inspiration of the graphic on the tees comes from the world being “our happy place”. Bursting with flowers and butterflies, the artwork symbolizes different races and cultures coming together as one through love and unity.
These beautiful shirts are the highlight of the SFD Garage Sale, which will be held on the 15th of December, and can also be purchased online directly from Founder Evelyn Sharma’s new online shopping platform www.shopxoe.com. All proceeds from the sales of the shirts go 100% to Seams For Dreams’ charitable mission to clothe people in need across India and allowing the organization to expand operations. SFD has truly become the innovators in bringing the trend in ethical fashion to India. Through its ceaseless philanthropic initiatives, the organization hopes to inspire others to use the medium of fashion to give back to society, too.
