Happiness can come in all forms, and this festive season it came in the form of Seams For Dreams and Access Life coming together to celebrate the Diwali holiday by being a part of the celebration with the kids on 22nd of October, 2017.
The Access Life NGO provides a loving and temporary home for the parents, care takers and the children, who are undergoing cancer treatment. Many times, families come from villages far away to get proper cancer treatment for their children; this can take months on end, leaving the families and kids with nowhere to stay for the duration of their treatment.
Access Life’s mission is to offer a home-like environment for the families while trying to improve the quality of life of the children by providing practical support services, educational resources and recreational programs.
The organisation is working to not only fill in a large unmet need but also to fundamentally change the mindsets of the families.
Seams For Dreams would like to give a special thanks to our Advisory Board member Mrs Jhelum Dalvi for making Seams For Dreams a part of this beautiful Diwali Celebration. SFD was able to distribute 22 beautiful articles of high-end clothing to the children to brighten up their Diwali. Founder Evelyn Sharma and the rest of the SFD team are thrilled to be a part of this worthy cause and are looking forward to more collaborations with Access Life in the near future.
