Thanks to your ever increasing number of donations Seams For Dreams has been able to double it’s supply of second hand clothing to the less privileged, sending out hundreds of pieces twice a week now! February was another strong month, with over 500 items distributed through our fantastic network of partner NGOs. Today we are kicking off round two of our #WearWashLoveRepeat awareness campaign by challenging all of you to re-wear your own clothes! “Sustainable fashion” has become every fashion designer’s favourite phrase to add depth to their collection. But being such a is a broad topic it is yet open to discussion what really makes fashion sustainable.

What do you say makes fashion “sustainable”?

Well, there are currently over 50 factors that go into determining the true sustainability of creating clothes and no one has really put an overall stamp on it yet.

So if you wonder how you can JOIN THE MOVEMENT of being a environmentally and socially responsible fashionista: Wear, Wash, Love and Repeat your own clothes! Seams For Dreams encourages that we as consumers start taking responsibility for our decisions on how quickly we consume new fashion, how we treat our existing wardrobe and how we influence future generations to shop consciously. Let’s create a healthy future for our beautiful planet, think of our children’s children and ensure ethical working conditions starting with our own city and going all around the globe.
