Last month, Seams For Dreams announced their partnership with Green Soles, a social enterprise that recycles old shoes and provides them to children in need. The organization also upcycles shoes and sells them on their retail site, thus promoting a sustainable and eco-friendly business model.
SFD founder Evelyn Sharma donated pairs of her own shoes and the organisation was able to transform them into new pairs that are now being auctioned off to raise funds for charitable causes in support of our mission to clothe people in need across India, while Green Soles’ mission is to provide appropriate footwear. Both organisations are expecting to raise a good amount of funds from the first official auction of up-cycled celebrity shoes! After this, Green Soles will be looking to auction additional pairs of upcycled celebrity shoes based on the success of the first auction.
The auction is now live and you can bid on the pair here:
At Seams For Dreams, we believe in collaborating with other amazing NGOs to achieve the biggest impact possible. Keep donating your old clothes and shoes to us and become a part of our movement.
