The Seams For Dreams team is working diligently from home to work towards providing for those in need of appropriate clothing. Seams For Dreams has pivoted their focus towards the immediate emergency relief for those who are negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Of course, Seams For Dreams will continue doing what they do best – to collect donations and provide clothing and fabric essentials.
There are various places that have transformed overnight into temporary shelters for migrant workers who weren’t able to make it back home in time and are stranded without proper food, shelter or clothing. In these situations, it is not only very important to stress good hygiene and sanitation practices, but also important to have fresh, clean clothes to change into along with towels and bedding.
Since the lockdown has begun, Seams For Dreams has started a #SFDCOVID19RELIEF campaign, where the organization continues to arrange for the pick-up of donations from generous donors from around the city’s suburbs and then offering those items to the under-resourced communities that have been impacted by the pandemic.
The urgent needs of the hour include basic fabric essentials like towels, bedsheets, pillow cases, and blankets so that these items can be distributed to the temporary shelters around our city, and the NGOs and hospitals that are all working overtime at the moment to be of service to the people.
