The latest Ready-To-Wear collection from MyPhilosophy displayed in their shop in Montmartre.
The charming Montmartre quarter in Paris is always a treat to visit with all the vintage shops, cafes and bookshops lining the winding streets leading to the majestic beauty of the grand church on the hill, the Sacre Coeur. One of the shops that Seams for Dreams recently visited in the Montmartre area is the atelier of MyPhilosophy, a sustainable fashion brand created by Designer KroeusnaKhaou.
The Designer and Founder of MyPhilosophy, KroeusnaKhaou giving stylish advice to one of their many dedicated clients in the shop.
We entered the MyPhilosophy shop and was greeted by Khaou among rows of their sustainable clothes and eco-fashion accessories. We were fascinated by the latest ready-to-wear collection that was displayed and the flowing wedding dresses made in quality haute couture surplus fabric sourced from haute couture houses in Paris and hand sewn with care by the artisans and women who work for MyPhilosophy in Cambodia.
Myphilosophy supports the artisans and women from little villages in Cambodia where the clothes and wedding dresses are made.
Khaou shared to us that the inspiration for their latest ready-to-wear collection came from her trip in Scotland where she was immersed in all the colors and figures of nature. We see the collection in earthly hues of olive, beige and brown with green and autumn prints on dresses. Pants and shorts are perfectly cut and made from upcycled linen and coats are made from upcycled wool fabrics in signature tartan Scottish prints.
The inspiration for the latest collection of MyPhilosophy came from Khaou’s trip to Scotland, as seen in the colors, textures and fabrics of the sustainable clothes.
One of the highlights of our visit to the shop of MyPhilosophy was a first glimpse on the latest wedding dresses that Khaou has designed and created in silk and soft fabrics all coming from the surplus of top haute couture fashion houses not only in Paris but also from Japan and other countries. Upcycling is seen in a whole new level with the wedding dresses of MyPhilosophy as prime examples that beautiful outfits can be made with the usage of quality fabrics, paired with good design and careful execution and hand sewing by dedicated artisans.
MyPhilosophy is a unique sustainable fashion brand that creates beautiful wedding dresses out of surplus haute couture fabrics, all made by artisans from Cambodia.

Khaou shared to us: “Notre atelier, qui existedepuismaintenant 10 ans, intègre des jeunes femmes particulièrementdémunies, et a vocation à leuroffrirune formation, un toit, et, par-dessus tout, un avenir” (Our workshop, which exists for 10 years now, includes young women particularly poor, and aims to offer training, shelter, and, above all, a future.)
Seams for Dreams is one with Khaou and MyPhilosophy in their mission of providing income to the poor and creating sustainable and eco-clothing that is 100% artisanal. Our Founder and Fashion Philanthropist Evelyn Sharma recommends women and ladies everywhere in India to get in touch with sustainable designers and labels like Khaou and MyPhilosophy and be stylish in their latest eco-fashion offerings. We will definitely visit the shop of MyPhilosophy in Paris again in the next couple of months and try on their beautiful dresses to wear not only in fashion shoots but in special events in Mumbai and everywhere else.
