As many of you know from our last newsletter, Seams For Dreams has recently hired a design intern, Shagun, who has been hard at work creating our next upcycled fashion line. This year, we’ve received so many donations from all of our generous supporters and many times we get asked the question – what do you all do with all the clothing that doesn’t get donated? You’ll be glad to know that every single article of clothing we receive is utilized. That is why we are so excited for the launch of the latest SFD upcycled fashion line, which is set to be completed by December.
This year, the line is going to have about 30 garments that are all made from scraps from clothes that you have donated! This goes hand in hand with the overall mission of the organization to bring life back into clothes that would be otherwise discarded as waste. As for the style, Shagun has created mood boards from the most recent fashion weeks worldwide as inspiration and plans on making the line a happy blend of boho chic and classics, which means lots of off the shoulder tops and flowy silhouettes. We can’t wait for all of you to see the final product, but in the meantime enjoy these photos of Shagun’s progress!
Stay tuned for more updates from Seams For Dreams as we keep giving in style!
