Seams For Dreams is an organization that continues to be inspired by the individuals that make it their mission to bring awareness to the sustainable fashion industry. There are a few people across India who are trailblazers for these initiatives, and Dhawal Mane has gone above and beyond to help textile manufacturers become more sustainable in their approach by minimizing their waste and reducing the carbon emissions.
Earlier this month, Mane was awarded the ‘2017 GreenBiz Under 30’ award for his work in sustainable fashion in India by GreenBiz, a publication that focuses on global sustainable businesses. Mane was recognized for his efforts as an emerging leader in the field and was the only Indian chosen for the accolade. Currently, Mane is employed by C&A, an international fashion retailer to integrate their sustainable chemical strategy into their present supply chain. Not only does Mane preach sustainability as a full-time job, but Mane also leads a few networking groups that bring together other professionals in the environmental space. Mane also has goals to help local fashion institutes integrate sustainability into their curriculums.
