Bollywood actress Evelyn Sharma reached Jaipur on Thursday to take part in F3 (Fashion, Fest, Fusion) the fundraiser show, said she wouldn’t have missed the chance to work for a cause.
She collaborated with fashion designer Kirti Rathore for F3, which will be held on Friday at a suave city hotel.
‘I just couldn’t say no to associate myself with an organization that makes use of fashion to fund charity. Besides, I just loved the thought behind it’, stated Evelyn, adding that she felt great on getting this opportunity too.
All funds collected will go towards helping victims of child abuse and distressed farmers via the Jaipur – based Touch foundation and Mumbai’s Seams for Dreams – the latter being the NGO run by Evelyn. The actress will also walk the ramp in a Kirti Rathore designed attire during the show.
The Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actress has also brought along clothes from her NGO to be given away to lesser privileged children in the city. ‘The funds raised will be further distributed to different NGO’s to be used for the cause of helping those in need’, she added.
While the show will go towards helping people and fulfilling their dreams, Evelyn’s own dream is to do more of charity. ‘I really wish to bridge the gap between the glamour industry and charity. I come from a middle – class family and had always wanted to start an NGO, especially after the Nepal earthquake’, she stated. Evelyn feels proud on being amongst the celebrities supporting a cause. ‘I am very happy that actors like Deepika Padukone, Rahul Bose, Priyanka Chopra and many more are coming out to support strong causes like these.’
Talking about the outfit Evelyn will be wearing on the ramp, Kirti shared, ‘She will be donning ethnic attire and I am sure she will carry it off. The outfit is in bright colours symbolizing brilliant Rajasthani traditions’.
Evelyn has been to the Pink City, a couple of times and loves everything royal about it. ‘I like the palaces over here, and really wish to see the Hawa Mahal soon’, she added.
Besides Kirti, designers showcasing their talent in F3 include Sonia Singh, Gitanjali Rawat and Tatiwala’s. Celebrities like Mahima Chaudhary, Shriya Saran, Sana Khan, Sambhavana Seth, Sonali Rout, Ali Quli Mirza, Ashmit Patel, Ankit Gera, Sushant Divgikar will also be present to extend their heart-warming support.
