Dear Friends,
As the first quarter of the year is wrapping up, I can’t express my gratitude enough for all the ongoing support that Seams For Dreams has received from you through your generous clothes donations for people in need and contributions of funds to run our operations. In the month of March, we were able to donate over 500 articles of clothing through our partner NGOs, all across Mumbai.
Not only has Seams For Dreams been busy with distribution missions this month, but we recently launched the #WearWashLoveRepeat campaign on Instagram and many of you posted beautiful photos of yourself with inspired ideas of restyling your clothes. I loved seeing the different outfits and hope to see many more of you use the hashtag #WearWashLoveRepeat so we can feature your awesome ideas on our Seams For Dreams page. This is a campaign really near to my heart, as it’s a great way to continue to remember to be mindful when it comes to our choices in fashion. It simply helps the sustainable fashion movement in a small and impactful way. After all, sustainability starts in our own closets!
This month, I also had the privilege of speaking at the o2h Innovation Conference in Ahmedabad, where I had a one-on-one conversation with Prashant Shah, the CCO of o2h, and had the pleasure of being part of a panel discussion with inspiring individuals within the social innovation sector. Efforts like their’s keep me going and it’s amazing to see how far we have come with Seams For Dreams over the past two years.
Seams For Dreams is creating a strong platform for all fashion lovers to make an impact for the better in this world. To see the video from the event and glimpses of my speech, click here.
In terms of what is to come, the entire Seams For Dreams team is getting ready for the 2nd Fashion Fundraiser hosted by our Advisory Board member and my good friend Mrs. Jhelum Gopal Dalvi at her multi-designer store JHELUM in Santacruz West. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 4th, starting at 12pm, and I sincerely hope you all come to shop for a good cause! Curated by Jhelum herself, we will be showcasing some of best pieces in the store by ace designers and with prices as low as 7,000 INR! If you wish to drop-off a box of your own clothing to be donated to be donated to Seams For Dreams on that day, you can do so, too! Coffee and tea will be flowing, so come and say hi to us any time during the day! I would love to see you all there.
The funds raised from the event will go towards our goal to clothe 100,000 people across India. Every little bit of support counts us as we inch closer to the goal and help more individuals in need!
Thank you all for your continued support and I can’t wait to see you all tomorrow.
Keep giving in style!
