Last week, Seams For Dreams kicked off the #WearWashLoveRepeat campaign and the Founder Evelyn Sharma challenges everyone to wear something, wash it, style it differently, wear it again, and repeat all over again!
Recently, Lucy Hale was spotted re-wearing her top in two stylish ways.
This campaign was started by the organization to promote the concept of sustainable fashion simply by optimizing what’s already in our closets – no matter where it’s from! Many of you have already uploaded photos of yourself but for the rest of you, here are some helpful tips to get you started if you don’t know where to begin!
1. For a change, be basic!
Basics are the best way to maximize your outfits. Have a white t-shirt that you love? Wear it with jeans and chunky necklace one day and then pair it with a skirt and some high heels for a night out. With a white t-shirt at your side, the possibilities are endless!
2. When in doubt, upcycle!
Have something in your closet that you love but have outgrown? Don’t forget that you can easily turn that top into a headband, that t-shirt into a tote bag or cute bracelets!
3. Keep your trousers on.
With the heat, it’s best to treasure your favourite lightweight trousers and wear them as many as times possible. Pair them with a crop top and sandals during the day and then maybe try belting them with a tight fit cotton basic t-shirt and some wedged heels for a completely different vibe.
4. Have fun with unlikely combinations.
One doesn’t always have to match all the time. You would be surprised how many odd colours and combos you can mix and match. From military green and hot pink, burgundy and mustard yellow, experimenting outside of your comfort zone is also a great way to create more magic from that already magical closet.
5. Don’t forget about accessories
Accessories can make or break your outfit and many times simply the way you accessorize can really make you stand out. If you have a shirt, skirt or pant that you just love, try pairing it with completely different accessories and #WearWashLoveRepeat can really be that easy!
Keep Giving in Style!
