Seams For Dreams uses the universal love for fashion to give back to humanity and I’m so happy that your excitement for fashion and good hearts enable you all to support our mission to clothe 100,000 people in India. Year after year, we change the lives of those in need together.
So far, SFD was able to supply over 6,000 items of clothing throughout India, with a significant increase in menswear and children’s clothing.
In the month of October, our team received more than 600 pieces of donated clothing from various people. SFD assures that all contributions received go to our long-term partner NGOs. Recently, SFD came together with Access Life for a Diwali celebration, where beautiful articles of high-end clothing were donated to children to brighten up their lives on the 22nd of October. We would like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Jhelum Dalvi for making SFD a part of this lively event.
Mrs. Jhelum Dalvi has pledged to support the mission by hosting a number of fundraising events for SFD. Thus, we will be planning the series of quarterly events in support of SFD’s mission with Mrs. Dalvi’s help. Seams For Dreams is very fortunate that our newest board member has contributed her time and space to make these events happen! It is only through continuous support that we are able to thrive as an organization. Through these outreach efforts, we can enable individuals to easily make a financial contribution to help expand our operations, logistics and storage space. From there we are able to cater to more people in need with the clothing donations we keep receiving from you all.
We are also planning the latest outreach program with The Hope Collab, which is an organization that aims to supply new or gently-used bedsheets, in addition to other renovation efforts for various old-age homes and other local community centers. Seams For Dreams is one with The Hope Collab in uplifting the lives of women and giving positive hope and inspiration to individuals through shared conversations and partnerships, like the earlier “Light Streams & Fabrics,” which was truly a success in terms of bringing awareness and positive messages to all the people who attended the event.
Seams for Dreams aims to continue fostering light and hope through partnerships with groups like The Hope Collab. Stay tuned for upcoming events and collaborations in these coming months, starting with our annual Christmas donation call this December 2017, continuing the mission to give in style one layer at a time. The SFD Team is glad to continue these charity missions with our partnered NGOs in India.
