 Dear Friends,

Warm greetings to all!

Seams For Dreams uses the universal love for fashion to give back to humanity and I’m so happy that your excitement for fashion and big hearts empower you all to support our mission to clothe 100,000 people in India. Every month, we change the lives of those in need together.

I believe with every change of season we should check our wardrobes and give away the things we haven’t worn in a long time. These items will go to someone who unfortunately can’t afford to shop for new clothes themselves and is in urgent need of appropriate attire.

So far, SFD has received thousands of donations from people of various walks of life, who are all helping us inch towards our goal. SFD assures that all contributions received are safely distributed into the hands of the underprivileged though our trusted partner NGOs.

In the month of September, our team has received more than 500 pieces of clothing donations that were further sent out to our affiliate NGOs.

We are so thankful to our donors and would like to give you all an update on the wonderful projects we have going on!

Board of Visionaries: This new membership opportunity was launched in order to increase funds for SFD and is open to all who wish to become active members of SFD. By joining the Board Of Visionaries, members will get to be a part of all the organization’s initiatives – take a look at the attached link for more information on how to become a “Visionary!|

Partner NGOs and outreach efforts: One of the organization’s goals this year is to find new partners to associate with and to assist them in furthering their goals to reach as many people as possible. In September, SFD collaborated with the Angel Xpress Foundation that mobilizes the local community to help the underprivileged children of the slums. Just last month, SFD provided almost 500 items of second-hand clothing for children, men, and women through the affiliated non-profits and their outreach effort.

Green Soles Auction: Green Soles’ mission is to provide sustainable footwear to all those in need. I donated pairs of my own shoes and the organisation was able to transform them into new pairs that are now being auctioned off to raise funds for charitable causes. We are expecting to raise a good amount of funds for SFD and GreenSoles in the first official auction of up-cycled celebrity shoes!

Upcoming Christmas Garage Sale: 2017 marks the second year of Seams For Dreams, and thus, the fourth SFD garage sale. What’s in the cards for this year’s Christmas event? Stay tuned to know more! There is nothing that makes me happier than bringing together people for a good cause! It is my dream come true to see the fashion industry and Bombay’s socialites becoming so involved with Seams for Dreams!
