Seams For Dreams uses the universal love for fashion to give back to humanity and I’m so happy that your excitement for fashion and good hearts enable you all to support our mission to clothe 100,000 people in India. Year after year, we change the lives of those in need together.
I believe with every change of season we should check our wardrobes and give away the things we haven’t worn in a long time. You certainly won’t wear these clothes again, and someone else may just fall in love with them. These items will go to someone who unfortunately can’t afford to shop for new clothes every month or someone who may have come out of a bad situation in their life. Small things like clothes can make a huge difference in the way an individual feels about themselves, and we feel it’s our duty to make someone smile through the gift of donation.
So far, SFD has received more than a thousand donations this year from various people, who are all helping us inch towards our goal. SFD assures that all contributions received go to our long-term partner NGOs.
SFD is currently busy planning the latest outreach program that aims to renovate The King George V Memorial, in collaboration with The Hope Collab. This effort hopes to supply new or gently-used bedsheets, in addition to other renovation efforts such as a complete clean up, painting of walls, new curtains, appropriate sanitation, redevelopment of the gardens and much more. Recently, Seams For Dreams also partnered with Ketto, which involves running a series of campaigns on the crowdfunding platform that will enable individuals to easily make a financial contribution to the cause to help expand our operations, logistics and storage space to cater to more people in need with the clothes donations we keep receiving from you.
