The SFD Team are always on the look-out for the new trends and interesting fashion pieces in the world which are sustainable, upcycled or eco-conscious. During our search for top designers who practice upcycling in Paris recently, we discovered a pearl, Designer Dana Cohen.
Cohen studied before in Paris and is now based in Israel. The fashion buzz started after she graduated first from her class and she presented her Worn Again Collection, created from old fabrics and new fabrics all woven together using a textile manufacturing process that Cohen has innovatively devised. Cohen collected used fabrics and shredded them to create a ‘cloudy’ felt and the pieces that resulted from all her hard work are now being showcased in different parts of the world. Each piece in the Worn Again collection is unique, showcasing a mix of texture and colors that fascinates each and every one looking at the garment and being informed that it is made of upcycled and reworked fabric from old clothes.

Cohen is currently busy preparing to launch her latest collection soon and we caught up with her on the phone as she shared to us that the upcoming collection will feature more items for each design and will still continue her original textile manufacturing process of mixing old fabrics with new fabrics together. We can’t wait to see the latest collection of Dana Cohen and she shall give more news in the following months on when the new collection will be launched. Check out her website at www.cohendana.com
