The handmade decor is all the rage, but who says it all has to be made from new materials? We’re here to give you quick and fun solutions to all those scraps you have hiding in your closet. So let’s get crafty and transform your old clothes!
1. Pillow covers made out of t-shirts, denim, or old sarees:
It depends on the vibe you’re going for, but who can ever have too many cushions? What’s great is that cushion covers are super easy to stitch and if you don’t have enough fabric, try a patchwork version!
2. Fabric flowers for that extra bit of charm:
You can use these almost anywhere and everywhere! They most definitely add less waste to our landfills and more charm to your home. String these along with your fairy lights or create jewelry and accessories from these adorable little bouquets.
3. Reusable cloth bags for all your shopping needs:
Now that single-use plastics are banned, more and more vendors require you to bring your bag to shop for your fruits and vegetables. These bags even come in handy when you’re traveling and need laundry bags for your clothes!
4. Coasters for those soggy coffee tables:
Denim or thicker materials are ideal for coasters. Upcycled coasters made from fabric are mostly machine washable and make for lovely little DIY gifts.
5. Simple wall-hangings and photo frames:
