Seams for Dreams Charity Foundation is proud to announce that Mrs. Jhelum Gopal Dalvi has joined our foundation as a honorable member on the Board of Trustees. Mrs. Dalvi comes equipped with many years of experience in the fashion industry, and currently owns her own multi-designer stores across India named JHELUM along with her mother, Mrs. Aarti Rele. While JHELUM houses pieces by the biggest names in haute couture that India has to offer, JHELUM also launched their own in-house label called JFH that features clothes made out of the sustainable fabric khadi, and was launched during the 2nd National Handloom Day in August of 2016. Our founder, actress and fashion philanthropist Evelyn Sharma was seen wearing one of the pieces at the event along with other honorable guests from the film and fashion industry who came to show their support for Mrs. Dalvi’s philanthropic efforts.
Mrs. Dalvi has also participated in other numerous charity efforts, including the Sion Carnival, which she put on with New Hope Foundation to raise funds and awareness for children with special needs, widows, and farmers.
Jhelum Gopal Dalvi’s combined experience of fashion, innovation, and philanthropy will be a boon for SFD, as we hope to expand our programs into different areas of fashion-driven giving.
With Jhelum’s help, Seams for Dreams plans to increase its footprint by engaging various designers about their involvement in the ethical and sustainable fashion movement. In addition, Seams for Dreams hopes to leverage partnerships with these designers to empower them to give back.
